The World Tour – Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast

The WCT rolled into town and it was a successful event for Joistik riders. We had Dean Morrison, Roy Powers, Davey Weare and Blake Thornton surf their favourite Nick Blair’s in the men’s main event. Shaun Gossmann narrowly missed out qualifying in the trials. For team rider Gozzy, the trials is familiar territory having surfed in them three times and also having won them twice which has seen him go into the main event of the Quiksilver Pro before. He rides the Silent Savage model at Snapper and Dbah. Whilst in the womens Megan Abubo, Amee Donohoe, Jessi Miley-Dyer, Nikita Robb and Serena Brooke all surfed well on their Joistiks, with Stephanie Gillmore taking the trophy. Joel Parkinson eventually scoring the win in the mens.
