Reo Kanao

Watch Joistik Surfboards team rider Reo Kanao ride the Vertrix2 model and visit The Glass Lab in a new episode of Surfers Pro Japan on the Gold Coast. Reo is pumped for a big year and he is soon to join the cast of the Netflix show Terrace House Tokyo for the 2020 season.

 

The Vertrix2 model has been hugely acclaimed by Reo. He rides a PU Vertrix2 at 5’9 x 18 5/8 x 2 5/16 as his usual shortboard and for small waves a Karboload Vertrix2 at 5’8 1 / 2 x 18 7/8 x 2 1/4 (25.6L) It is his “magic” board for both free surfing and competition surfing. The Vertrix2 has a squash tail with a full rocker and a semi flat deck (you can therefore ride it a touch thinner than your normal boards). It is a very popular board for intermediate to pro surfers. The Vertrix2 is very responsive, great for in the pocket surfing and the board to choose when the waves are firing! It excels in critical, hollower, steeper conditions.
